Your prices, charges and balance are in US dollars. Customers outside the US can pay your payment links, invoices and subscriptions with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and are charged the dollar amount they see at checkout.
What a customer outside the US sees
| Topic | How it works |
|---|---|
| Price at checkout | In US dollars, exactly as you set it, with any shipping, tip and sales tax. |
| On their statement | The dollar amount converted to their own currency by their card issuer, at the issuer's rate. Their issuer may also charge them a foreign transaction fee; it isn't part of your price and isn't paid to you. |
| Bank payments | Bank (ACH) payments are for US bank accounts. |
| Stablecoins | USDC and USDT are dollar stablecoins: customers pay the dollar amount. |
Refunds and disputes
- Refunds are in US dollars, the amount you choose. The customer's issuer converts it back at its rate on the day, so the amount in their currency can differ a little from what they paid.
- Disputes are for the dollar amount charged, and the dollar amount is held from your balance while the bank decides. See Automatic dispute evidence.
