Quick answer
Which is better, Gate or Anytime Capital?
For a U.S. resident the global Gate platform is closed, and the separate Gate US that launched in August 2025 offers crypto-to-crypto spot trading in roughly 30 states with no cash or card rail at launch. Anytime Capital serves U.S. customers, and customers everywhere else, with card pricing from 4% with the spread included, an OTC desk, a phone line, a non-custodial wallet, an FDIC-insured cash account with a free virtual debit card, and cash in branch or by mail and same-day wire in the U.S. Gate is the stronger choice only if what you want is an order-book exchange with futures, margin and trading bots.

Published fee percentages on a debit or credit card order
Gate does not sell crypto for a card payment directly: card purchases routed to third-party processors whose fee and spread are shown only inside the partner's checkout; not available to a U.S. customer on the global platform. Anytime Capital card pricing starts from 4% and is shown in full before you confirm, excluding network fees. As of September 2026.
What Gate is, and where it is allowed to sell
Gate started life in 2013 as Bter, rebranded to Gate.io in 2017, and dropped the suffix in 2025 to become simply Gate on the gate.com domain. It is run by Gate Technology Inc., a Cayman Islands company, and its user agreement is now governed by Panamanian law. It claims more than 46 million users, lists 3,500-plus assets, and is the exchange traders open when a token is too new or too small for anywhere else. Around the core spot market it runs futures, margin, trading bots, a launchpad and a wallet.
The global platform's restricted-locations page includes the United States alongside Canada, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong and mainland China. A U.S. ID fails verification and U.S. IP addresses are blocked. What is different about Gate, compared with Bitget or MEXC, is that it built a U.S. affiliate: Gate US launched on August 1, 2025 with crypto-to-crypto spot pairs, state money transmitter coverage in roughly 30 states by early 2026, and a promise of fiat on-ramps, custody and local payment methods to follow.
Anytime Capital is built for the customer the global platform turns away and Gate US cannot yet fund, and for customers anywhere else. It is a U.S. company with a storefront on Piedmont Road in Atlanta, an office in One Biscayne Tower in Miami, a phone number that reaches a person, and nine ways to pay, including cash and same-day wire. It sells crypto for money, with one all-in price, and it says so.
Fees: a trading schedule and a partner card rail, versus from 4% on screen
Gate's base spot fee is 0.1% for makers and takers, falling through VIP tiers with volume and holdings of its GT token, and futures start around 0.02% maker and 0.05% taker. Gate announced a spot and futures fee-structure update effective April 9, 2026, so the fee page inside your account is the only reliable number; third-party tables and old screenshots disagree with each other. Crypto deposits are free. Withdrawals carry a per-coin network fee set by Gate.
Buying with a card on the global platform goes through third-party processors, and the fee and spread appear only inside the partner's checkout. Gate US launched without any card or bank on-ramp at all; at launch you had to bring crypto you already owned. That is a real gap for an American who wants to turn dollars into Bitcoin today.
Anytime Capital's card, Apple Pay and Google Pay pricing starts from 4% with the spread included, with the amount you pay and the crypto you receive shown before you confirm. It is a price on a money-to-crypto purchase, a different product from a crypto-to-crypto trading fee, and one that Gate's global platform cannot legally sell to a U.S. resident and Gate US did not offer at launch. For larger amounts the OTC desk quotes directly against a same-day wire.

Ways to pay: nine rails versus a crypto-only affiliate
In the countries it serves, Gate accepts cards through partners, some local bank transfers, and a P2P marketplace. Inside the United States, the global platform accepts nothing because it does not take the account, and Gate US launched with crypto deposits only, with fiat rails promised for later. There is no ACH, no U.S. wire and no cash on either.
Anytime Capital accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit and credit cards, ACH, domestic wire, Cash App, cash in person at the Atlanta branch, and cash by mail from anywhere in the country. Wires settle the same business day. If one rail is blocked by your bank, there are eight others.

Support: 24/7 chat with mixed reviews, versus a phone number
Gate runs 24/7 live chat, tickets and email, and no phone line. Its Trustpilot profile has around 1,400 reviews and the score reported by third parties swings widely depending on the domain and the month, so it is not worth quoting a single number. The pattern in the reviews is stable, though. Praise is for the coin list, the bots, and agents who answer quickly. Complaints are about withdrawals that stall after deposits went through easily, accounts locked during risk reviews, and tickets that wait a day or two.
At Anytime Capital you can call (470) 748-2530 during business hours and reach someone who can see your order. You can email. You can drive to 2549 Piedmont Road NE and sort it out across a desk. For larger orders the OTC desk gives you a named contact from quote to settlement.
More than an exchange balance: the account that comes with it
Gate is custodial: your coins sit in its wallets until you withdraw them, and the locked-account reviews are the cost of that model. Anytime Capital delivers to a non-custodial wallet, so the crypto is yours the moment it lands, and adds an FDIC-insured cash account with a free virtual debit card. Sell Bitcoin and spend the dollars the next day, without a wire to a third bank.
When Gate is the right call
Choose Gate if you want an order-book exchange for small-cap altcoins with futures, margin and trading bots, or value an exchange with a track record back to 2013. If you are in one of the states Gate US covers and already hold crypto, it is worth a look for crypto-to-crypto trading. For anyone, wherever you are, choosing one place to turn money into crypto, hold it, sell it and spend it, with a phone number and a front door, start below.
