The global Gate platform does not serve the United States. Its restricted-locations page lists the U.S. alongside Canada, the U.K., Singapore, Hong Kong and mainland China; a U.S. ID fails verification and U.S. IP addresses are blocked. Gate can update that list without notice, and using a VPN to get around it violates the terms and risks a frozen balance.
Gate is unusual among offshore exchanges in having built a U.S. affiliate. Gate US launched on August 1, 2025 with crypto-to-crypto spot pairs and state money transmitter coverage that reached roughly 30 states by early 2026, with each state deciding its own access. It promised fiat on and off ramps, custody and local payment methods later. At launch, an American in a covered state could deposit crypto they already owned and trade it, but could not buy with a card, a bank transfer or cash.
Anytime Capital serves U.S. customers directly, and customers everywhere else, and takes dollars. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay pricing starts from 4% with the spread included, cash is accepted at the Atlanta branch and by mail from any state, wires settle the same day, and the OTC desk handles size. There is a phone number, (470) 748-2530, and two offices you can visit. For an American who searched "Gate USA" and found either a block or a crypto-only affiliate, that is the practical answer.
