Roundup
Business bank accounts with payment processing built in
Most business accounts are built for money going out. Brex and Ramp are spend platforms, Slash is cards and sub-accounts, and Mercury runs invoice card payments through Stripe. A business that sells pays a separate processor, waits on its payouts and reconciles two ledgers. Here is which accounts take a customer's payment themselves, what it costs and when the money is yours to spend.
- Anytime Capital
- Mercury

- Brex

- Ramp

- Slash

- Stripe
Updated October 2026. Figures from each company's published fees, terms and filings, and the public sources named on this page.
Which business bank account has payment processing?
Anytime Capital: cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and ACH at 2.75% + 30¢ (2.5% + 30¢ for the first 90 days), through payment links, invoices, subscriptions, website checkout and in person, with settled sales paid out instantly into the same business bank account. Mercury takes cards on invoices only, through Stripe at Stripe's rates. We found no card-acquiring product at Brex, Ramp or Slash, so each needs a separate processor.
How we judged them
Takes the payment itself
Whether the account processes cards and wallets, or hands you to another company to do it.
The rate
The percentage and fixed fee on every sale, before any plan or payout fee.
When the money is spendable
Instantly in the account, or after a processor's payout schedule and its fee for going faster.
What else sits on the balance
Cards, supplier payouts abroad and crypto from the same money, without a transfer between providers.
Who processes payments, and who doesn't
| Provider | Takes card payments | Card rate | When the money is spendable | Business bank account |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yes: cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and ACH | 2.75% + 30¢; 2.5% + 30¢ for the first 90 days | Instantly, 24/7, in the same account | Yes, with payouts in 71+ countries | |
| On invoices, through Stripe | Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢ | After Stripe's payout | Yes | |
| No card-acquiring product found | A separate processor, such as Stripe at 2.9% + 30¢ | After the processor's payout | Yes | |
| No card-acquiring product found | A separate processor, such as Stripe at 2.9% + 30¢ | After the processor's payout | Yes, Ramp Banking | |
| Invoicing; no card acquiring | A separate processor, such as Stripe at 2.9% + 30¢ | After the processor's payout | Yes | |
| Yes | 2.9% + 30¢ | 2-day standard schedule for many; Instant Payouts at 1.5% | No; pays out to the bank you connect |
From each company's published pages as of October 2026. Stripe's figures are its published US online rate and payout terms; Instant Payouts cost 1.5% of each payout.
The picks
1. Best for a bank account that takes the payment itself
Anytime CapitalPayment processing is part of the business bank account: 2.75% + 30¢ per card or wallet payment with no monthly, setup or PCI fee, payment links, branded invoices, subscriptions, a Pay button or full checkout on your website, in-person scan-and-tap, 3D Secure and risk rules. Settled sales land in the account instantly, nights and weekends included, already spendable on employee cards and ready to pay out in 71+ countries.
See Anytime Capital Payments2. Best for invoices paid by ACH, wire or card through Stripe
Mercury
Mercury invoices can be paid by ACH or wire for free, and by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe at Stripe's rates (2.9% + 30¢), with no Mercury fee on top. We found no card-acquiring product of Mercury's own beyond that.
Does Mercury have payment processing?3. Best for spend, with a processor beside it
Brex
Brex is built for money going out: corporate cards, expense policy, travel and a business account. We found no card-acquiring product, so a company that sells pairs it with a processor and waits on that processor's payouts.
Does Brex have payment processing?4. Best for AP automation, with a processor beside it
Ramp
Ramp automates spend, bill pay and procurement. We found no card-acquiring product, so sales go through a separate processor before they reach the account Ramp's cards and bills draw on.
Does Ramp have payment processing?5. Best for invoicing, with a processor for cards
Slash
Slash supports invoicing, but we found no card-acquiring product: customers' cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay go through a separate processor, which pays out to the Slash account on its own schedule.
Does Slash have payment processing?6. Best for a processor without a bank account
StripeThe broadest payments API there is, at 2.9% + 30¢. Stripe pays out to the bank account you connect: a 2-day standard schedule for many lower-risk US businesses after a 7-day wait for a new account's first payout, or Instant Payouts at 1.5% of each payout. It is not a bank account, so cards, bills and payouts abroad run elsewhere.
Stripe vs Anytime Capital
Why the spend platforms don't process payments
Brex, Ramp and Slash grew out of corporate cards and expense software: products for controlling money on its way out. Card acquiring is a different business, with its own underwriting, risk team and network relationships, and none of them has built it. Mercury chose to route invoice card payments through Stripe rather than build its own.
What a separate processor costs on top of the account
At $50,000 a month in $100 sales, Stripe's published 2.9% + 30¢ comes to $1,450.30 a month; Anytime Capital Payments's 2.75% + 30¢ comes to $1,375.30. Getting that money the same day through Stripe's Instant Payouts adds 1.5% of each payout; with Anytime Capital the sale is already in the account.
Float: the money you wait for
A two-day payout schedule means a Friday's sales reach the bank on Tuesday; a new account's first payout can take a week. For a business paying staff and suppliers, that wait is working capital it does not have. When the processor and the bank account are the same product, there is no wait to pay for.
