Roundup
The best business bank accounts for paying suppliers and contractors abroad
Most business accounts send money abroad by international wire: correspondent banks, a fee at each end and days in transit. A few now pay over the recipient's own domestic rail, or in stablecoins. Here is how Anytime Capital, Ramp, Brex, Mercury and Slash compare on getting money to someone in another country.

Which business account is best for international payments?
One that pays over local rails rather than only wires. Anytime Capital pays suppliers in 71+ countries over their domestic rail (SEPA Instant, Faster Payments, PIX, SPEI, UPI, PayNow and mobile money), with SWIFT for the rest and same-day USDC and USDT transfers, and shows the fee and rate before you send. Ramp sends free international wires on Ramp Banking to 185+ countries; Brex charges no wire fee but sets its own exchange rate; Mercury charges 1% FX on non-USD wires; Slash charges $25 per international wire.
How we judged them
How the money travels
A local rail lands in the recipient's own currency, often in seconds; a wire passes through correspondent banks.
Fees and exchange
The transfer fee, the FX margin and the recipient bank's fee to receive a wire, together.
Speed
Seconds, the same day, or one to nine business days.
A stablecoin option
For contractors who prefer USDC or USDT, or corridors where banks are slow.

| International wires to 100+ countries | No Brex wire fee; Brex sets the FX rate; card FX up to 3% | Wire timing; varies by corridor | USDC payments announced; not confirmed live | |
| International wires in USD and 40+ currencies | USD wires free; 1% FX on non-USD wires; 3% on non-USD card spend | 1–3 business days for non-USD wires | None | |
| International wires to 180+ countries | $25 per international wire; card FX 1% (another page says 2%) | 2–9 business days | USDC and USDT ramps; Global USD account |

The picks
1. Best for paying suppliers in their own currency on local rails
Anytime CapitalLocal rails in 71+ countries (SEPA Instant, Faster Payments, PIX, SPEI, UPI, PayNow and mobile money), SWIFT for most other countries and same-day USDC and USDT transfers, from the same balance card sales land in. Every payout shows its fee and exchange rate before you confirm it, and the schedule is published on Fees and limits.
See global payouts2. Best for free international wires on Ramp Banking
Ramp
Ramp says it pays to 185+ countries with free international wires on Ramp Banking (a partner page says 195), and charges $20 for SWIFT USD bill payments funded from an outside bank. Stablecoin Accounts add USDC and USDT. It needs $25,000 in a business bank account to start.
Ramp international payments, compared3. Best for fee-free wires to 100+ countries
Brex
Brex charges no fee of its own on international wires and sends them to 100+ countries, setting the exchange rate on non-USD wires itself. Card spend that needs conversion carries up to 3%.
Brex international payments, compared4. Best for USD wires abroad at no fee
Mercury
USD international wires are free (with an optional $15 to cover intermediary fees). Non-USD wires carry a 1% FX fee across 40+ currencies and take one to three business days; non-USD card transactions carry 3%. No stablecoins.
Mercury international payments, compared5. Best for a stablecoin dollar account for non-US teams
Slash
International wires cost $25 on both plans, reach 180+ countries and take two to nine business days. Card FX is 1% (40¢ minimum) on Slash's pricing page, though another Slash page says 2%. USDC and USDT ramps and a Global USD account suit teams outside the US.

Wires versus local rails
A wire travels through correspondent banks, each of which can take time and a fee, and the recipient's bank often charges to receive it. A local rail is the domestic system the recipient's bank already uses: SEPA Instant in the euro area, Faster Payments in the UK, PIX in Brazil, SPEI in Mexico, UPI in India and PayNow in Singapore.
Paid that way, a supplier in Stuttgart, Guadalajara or Kochi gets euros, pesos or rupees in their own account, often in seconds, with no receiving fee.
What FX actually costs
A 1% FX fee on a $10,000 supplier payment is $100; 3% on the same amount spent by card abroad is $300. A wire with no transfer fee can still cost more than one with a fee if its exchange rate is wider. Compare the amount the recipient receives, not the fee line.
Stablecoins for contractors
Many contractors abroad now ask to be paid in USDC or USDT: it arrives the same day, weekends included, and they convert locally. A business account that sends stablecoins from the same balance as its dollars saves an exchange login and a transfer.
Payouts in local currency
71 countries. 38 currencies. One bank account.
Pay suppliers, contractors and your own teams abroad over the rail their bank already uses, from the same balance your sales land in.
