Quick answer
How do photographers take retainers and payments?
Most photographers bill in two parts: a retainer that holds the date and a balance due before the event. With Anytime Capital Payments, the quote the client accepts online becomes an invoice; the invoice asks for a fixed or percentage deposit first and collects the rest on the same invoice, with reminders before, on and after the due date. Mini sessions sell from a payment link with a dropdown for the time slot. It costs 2.75% + 30¢ per payment: $27.80 on a $1,000 retainer.

How it works
How a photographer gets paid with Anytime Capital
- 01
A quote they accept online
Send the collection as a quote with line items and a valid-until date. The client accepts it from the link, the quote records who accepted it and when, and accepting turns it into the invoice.

The retainer that holds the date
The invoice asks for a fixed or percentage deposit first. The client pays the retainer by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank account, and the rest stays on the same invoice.

The balance, collected for you
Reminders go out before, on and after the balance's due date, at most one a day, and stop once it is paid. Large balances can be paid by bank account, which usually clears in 3–5 business days.

Mini sessions and prints from a link
Sell mini sessions and print packages from a payment link: a fixed price, a dropdown question for the time slot, a quantity for prints, and discount codes for returning clients. Require clients to agree to your terms before they pay.
