      Quick answer

Is QuickBooks Payments cheaper than Anytime Capital?

On small invoices, yes; on large ones, no. QuickBooks charges 2.99% with no fixed fee on card invoices and online payments, and Anytime Capital Payments charges 2.75% + 30¢, so QuickBooks costs less below about $125 and more above it: $1.50 against $1.68 on a $50 invoice, but $29.90 against $27.80 on $1,000 and $149.50 against $137.80 on $5,000. QuickBooks' Instant Deposit costs 1.75% of the deposit; Anytime Capital's instant payouts to an eligible bank are priced in your dashboard before you confirm, and every payment, fee and payout posts to QuickBooks Online automatically.

What QuickBooks Payments is genuinely good for

      • Businesses that run on QuickBooks and want an invoice paid and matched in the same place, with no sync to set up.
      • Invoices and online payments under about $125: 2.99% with no fixed fee costs less than 2.75% + 30¢ below that amount.
      • Counter sales at 2.5% with QuickBooks' own card readers.
      01

Payments where the books already are

QuickBooks Payments' advantage is that there is nothing to connect. An invoice sent from QuickBooks carries a pay button, the payment lands against the invoice, and the deposit and fee are recorded without a rule or an import. For a bookkeeper closing the month, that is worth something real.

In person, QuickBooks charges 2.5% for swiped, inserted or tapped cards with its own readers, a lower published rate than our standard one.

A percentage with no fixed fee, and what that means for big invoices

2.99% with no fixed fee is good arithmetic on small tickets and poor arithmetic on large ones. The two rates cross at about $125: below it QuickBooks costs less, above it 2.75% + 30¢ does, and the gap grows with the invoice.

Keyed-in cards cost more again, at 3.5%, and ACH bank payments cost 1% on the rates page, which on a $5,000 invoice is $50.

      • $100 invoice: $2.99 with QuickBooks, $3.05 with Anytime Capital Payments
      • $1,000 invoice: $29.90 with QuickBooks, $27.80 with Anytime Capital Payments
      • $5,000 invoice: $149.50 with QuickBooks, $137.80 with Anytime Capital Payments
      • $10,000 invoice: $299.00 with QuickBooks, $275.30 with Anytime Capital Payments
      03

      Keep QuickBooks, change the processor

Anytime Capital Payments connects to QuickBooks Online (or Xero) in Settings → Accounting. Every payment, its card fee, every refund and every payout posts to your books on its own, through a clearing account that always matches your payments balance, and each payout arrives in your bank feed as a transfer you can match. You choose how sales tax collected at checkout posts.

So the books stay in QuickBooks, and the invoices, links and subscriptions go out from Anytime Capital under your own brand.

      04

Instant Deposit at 1.75%, and our payouts

QuickBooks' standard deposits usually arrive within two business days once an account is set up. Instant Deposit gets them there in about 30 minutes for 1.75% of the amount: $87.50 on a $5,000 deposit.

On Anytime Capital Payments: payouts to your own bank account, standard or instant where eligible, instant sweeps into an Anytime Capital business account, RTP or FedNow transfers to any US bank, same-day domestic wires, vendor payments by ACH, local rails in 71+ countries, stablecoin payouts from your balance, crypto conversion of your balance and employee cards funded from your balance, whenever you like or on an automatic schedule.

      05

      Beyond the invoice

Anytime Capital Payments adds what an accounting add-on usually does not: subscription plans with free trials, discount codes, plan changes with proration, pause and resume, usage-based meters and a customer billing portal; payment links you can text or post; your logo and colour on checkout, invoices, receipts and payment emails, served from a domain you own such as pay.yourbusiness.com; and a REST API described in OpenAPI 3.1, 25 signed webhook event types, restricted API keys, an MCP server so Claude and other AI agents can create links and invoices, and a Node SDK in preview.
