Quick answer
Which is better, Topper or Anytime Capital?
For someone choosing one place to buy, Anytime Capital is the better fit wherever you are: card pricing is one all-in number from 4% with the spread included, with the amount you pay and the crypto you receive shown before you confirm, where Topper sets its rate at checkout with a $3.99 minimum, and Anytime Capital adds cash, same-day wire, an OTC desk, a phone line, an FDIC-insured cash account with a debit card and two offices you can visit. Topper is the stronger choice if you already use Uphold or if you are buying inside a hardware wallet app that embeds it and want to stay there.

Published fee percentages on a debit or credit card order
Topper does not sell crypto for a card payment directly: a fee that varies by payment method and is only shown at checkout, with a minimum of $3.99 per order; reviewers widely report card fees in the mid-single digits and some as high as 7.4% on debit, plus a separate network fee. Anytime Capital card pricing starts from 4% and is shown in full before you confirm, excluding network fees. As of September 2026.
What Topper is, and what it is not
Topper launched in 2023 as a product of Uphold, the New York-based trading platform that has operated since 2015. It is not a place you go; it is a widget that other companies embed, and it shows up inside hardware wallet companion apps, browser wallets and NFT storefronts. Uphold handles the licensing, the identity checks and the card processing behind it. When your card clears, the coins are sent to the wallet you were standing in and Topper disappears.
That model borrows Uphold's strengths. The asset list runs past 200 coins, the country list past 150, and the payment sheet includes Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Venmo alongside cards. What it inherits from Uphold's terms is a restriction that catches people by surprise: crypto purchases are blocked while you are physically in New York, and only selling to fiat works there. Support is a ticket form on a help center, with no chat and no phone.
Anytime Capital is the opposite shape. It is a U.S. company that serves customers worldwide, with a storefront at 2549 Piedmont Road NE in Atlanta, an office in Miami's One Biscayne Tower, a phone number that reaches a person, and rails that run from Apple Pay and cards to cash in branch, cash by mail and same-day wire. The Bitcoin is the same. Where you stand when something goes wrong is not.
Fees: a rate you see at checkout, versus from 4% on the page
Topper does not publish a fee table. Its help center says the fee depends on the payment method you choose, that every order carries a minimum of $3.99, and that the network fee is charged separately. The rate you actually pay appears on the confirmation screen, and the reviews reflect that: some customers found the rate acceptable, others report card fees in the mid-single digits and a few cite 7.4% on debit. Because the number changes by method and partner, we do not put a percentage in the chart above. That is not a knock on Topper; it is a reason to screenshot the final screen.
Anytime Capital pricing is one all-in number, from 4% with the spread included on card, Apple Pay and Google Pay orders, printed on the landing page before you start, with the amount you pay and the crypto you receive shown before you confirm. On a $500 purchase the $3.99 floor at Topper is a small fraction of the cost; on a $40 top-up it is 10% before the network fee. On a $10,000 order the question stops being percentages, and Anytime Capital would move you to a same-day wire through the OTC desk.
Topper's ACH option, where a partner enables it, carries its own rate, as does Uphold's own platform for customers who fund an Uphold balance first. Neither of those helps a customer who wants to pay with cash, send a domestic wire, or use Cash App. Those rails do not exist inside the widget at any price.

Ways to pay: nine rails versus a payment sheet
Topper's U.S. payment sheet is genuinely broad for a widget: debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Venmo, with ACH in some integrations. That covers most people topping up a hardware wallet with a few hundred dollars. It does not cover someone who was paid in cash, a business moving $50,000, or a customer whose bank has started declining crypto card purchases, which happens on credit cards in particular.
Anytime Capital accepts Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit and credit cards, ACH, domestic wire, Cash App, cash in person at the Atlanta branch, and cash by mail from anywhere in the country. Wires settle the same business day. If your bank blocks one rail, eight others are waiting, and a person on the phone can tell you which one will clear fastest.

Support: a ticket form versus a phone number
Topper's Trustpilot profile sits at about 4.1 out of 5 across roughly 2,000 reviews, and 69% of them are five stars. The praise is for approval rates and a checkout that finishes inside the app. The one-star reviews, about 17% of the total, describe an order held for review, a fee that was higher than expected, or a purchase refused in New York, followed by a ticket that waited. Trustpilot's own summary shows Topper replying to about a third of negative reviews, typically within a week.
At Anytime Capital you can call (470) 748-2530 during business hours and reach someone who can see your order. You can email. You can drive to the Atlanta branch, or visit the Miami office, and sort it out across a desk. For larger orders the OTC desk gives you a named contact from quote to settlement, which no widget can offer.
More than a checkout: the account that comes with it
Topper is designed to end the moment the coins arrive. There is no balance, no card and no way to sell back through the same widget in most integrations; Uphold's own app is where that lives, and it is a separate product with its own onboarding. For a hardware wallet owner who only ever buys, that is fine. For someone who buys, sells and spends, it means three apps.
Anytime Capital customers get an FDIC-insured cash account with a free virtual debit card, a non-custodial wallet, and buy and sell in the same place. Selling Bitcoin on a Tuesday and spending the dollars on Wednesday does not involve a second company or a bank wire. More than 8,000 trades have gone through that process.
When Topper is the right call
Choose Topper if you already have a verified Uphold account and want to reuse it, or if you are buying inside a hardware wallet app that embeds the widget and do not want to leave it. That embedded flow, with the coins landing in the wallet you were already standing in, is the thing Topper does that a standalone platform does not.
