Quick answer

- Anytime Capital
- Gemini
Anytime Capital: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Debit card, Credit card, ACH bank transfer, Wire transfer, Cash App, Cash in branch, Cash by mail, each priced as one all-in number from 4% on card orders with the spread included. Gemini: 5 of those rails, priced a 3.49% fee on debit card purchases in the app, on top of the convenience fee and the transaction fee, with a number of free crypto withdrawals each month, then the network fee; free ACH cash-out. Both exclude blockchain network fees. As of September 2026.
What Gemini charges, in order
Gemini's app pricing is the most layered in this comparison. Every quote includes a 0.50% convenience fee, which works like a spread. On top of that sits a transaction fee: $0.99 on orders under $10, stepping up through fixed amounts to $2.99, then 1.49% on orders above $200. If you fund the purchase with a debit card, Gemini adds a 3.49% card fee. A $1,000 debit card order therefore costs about $55, and a $1,000 order funded by free ACH costs about $20. Crypto withdrawals get a monthly allowance of free transfers, then the network fee.
ActiveTrader is priced like an exchange rather than an app. Maker and taker fees start around 0.20% and 0.40% at low 30-day volume and fall from there, with no convenience fee. Gemini has changed the ActiveTrader schedule more than once, and some 2026 reviews report higher entry-tier rates, so treat the base numbers as a starting point and check the live schedule. Either way, ActiveTrader with an ACH deposit skips the convenience fee and the card fee, and it is where most of Gemini's regular customers trade.
Anytime Capital's card pricing starts from 4% with the spread already inside, with the amount you pay and the crypto you receive shown before you confirm, so a $1,000 card order is from $40 against about $55 in the Gemini app. For larger orders the OTC desk quotes a same-day wire with a named contact. It is one all-in number for a card purchase delivered to your own wallet, and the desk is the faster route for anyone paying by wire.
Network fees, spread, and the number that matters
Both platforms add the blockchain network fee to send your coins. What differs is how the price is presented. Gemini's schedule is published, which is honest, but the parts stack. Anytime Capital shows one number for what you pay and one for what you receive. The second number is the only one worth comparing: screenshot both checkouts on the same $1,000 order and look at how much crypto lands.

The rails where the fee question barely applies
Gemini has no cash rail at any price, and wires go through its banking partners. At Anytime Capital, cash in the Atlanta branch and cash by mail are priced like any other order, and wires for larger amounts are handled by the OTC desk with a locked quote. For a customer moving real size, a wire costs a fraction of any card rail, at Gemini or anywhere else.
