How to tell whether Bybit is actually down
Start with Bybit's status page and its social accounts, which it updates during incidents. Bybit is rarely fully offline. What generates most "Bybit is down" searches is the platform slowing during a sharp price move or a brief withdrawal pause under load, as was reported during a February 2026 selloff, when Bybit and Binance both paused withdrawals briefly citing technical strain. The February 2025 theft, remarkably, did not stop withdrawals; Bybit processed them throughout and returned to normal operations within hours.
For a U.S. resident, though, Bybit is always down, in the sense that matters: it does not serve the United States, and no status page will change that. What to do if your Bybit order is stuck
Do not resubmit the same payment, which can create duplicate holds. Take a screenshot of the order and its status, check your email for a document request, and open a support ticket with the order ID.
