    What Ramp charges, and for what

    Ramp is a spend-management and accounts-payable platform: corporate cards, bill pay, procurement and receipt matching, with banking through First Internet Bank of Indiana. Its plans: Free; Plus $15 per user a month plus a platform fee (20% off annual); Enterprise custom. Ramp says it pays to 185+ countries with free unlimited international wires on Ramp Banking (a partner page says 195), and charges $20 for SWIFT USD bill payments funded from an outside bank.

    Ramp's banking services are provided by First Internet Bank of Indiana, with extra coverage through a deposit sweep.

    The fee most comparisons leave out: taking payments

    A business account comparison usually stops at monthly plans and wires. If you sell, the biggest line is card processing. Ramp automates the money going out. We found no card-acquiring product, so a company that sells pays a separate processor, waits on its payouts, and only then has the money in the account Ramp's cards and bills draw on. At $50,000 a month in $100 sales, Stripe's published 2.9% + 30¢ comes to $1,450.30 a month; Anytime Capital's 2.75% + 30¢ comes to $1,375.30.
