Is Hyperliquid down? How to check, and what to do in the meantime
Every platform has bad days: a processor outage, an app that will not load, a withdrawal stuck on pending. If you are here because Hyperliquid is not working right now, you do not have to wait it out.
- Check Hyperliquid's own status page and social channels first
- Most "Hyperliquid is down" reports are the front end or API layer failing under traffic, as in the 27-minute outage on July 29, 2025, while the chain kept producing blocks; RPC and bridge delays on the Arbitrum side are the other common cause.
- Anytime Capital: finish the order today by card, Apple Pay, ACH, wire or cash
Updated September 2026. Hyperliquid figures from its published pricing, terms and independent reviews.

Quick answer
Is Hyperliquid down right now?
Check Hyperliquid's status page and its X account for a posted incident, then try the web version directly rather than the app. Most "Hyperliquid is down" reports are the front end or API layer failing under traffic, as in the 27-minute outage on July 29, 2025, while the chain kept producing blocks; RPC and bridge delays on the Arbitrum side are the other common cause. If you need the crypto today, Anytime Capital is a U.S. platform independent of Hyperliquid and its processors, and accepts card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, wire, Cash App and cash.

Card pricing at Anytime Capital, where Hyperliquid has no card rail
Published fee percentages on a debit or credit card order
Hyperliquid does not sell crypto for a card payment directly: there is no fiat rail at all; Hyperliquid only accepts USDC deposited on Arbitrum (or via HyperEVM bridges), so you need an on-ramp such as Anytime Capital to buy the USDC first. Anytime Capital card pricing starts from 4% and is shown in full before you confirm, excluding network fees. As of September 2026.
How to tell whether Hyperliquid is actually down
Start by separating the chain from the front end. Hyperliquid's layer-1 has kept producing blocks through every widely reported incident; what fails is the layer people touch. On July 29, 2025, the API went down for about 27 minutes, from 14:20 to 14:47 UTC, under what the team called a spike in traffic, and for that window nobody could open, close or withdraw through the app even though the chain was fine. The team refunded affected traders automatically. Smaller versions of the same thing, the app hanging or orders not confirming while the explorer shows blocks, are the most common "Hyperliquid is down" report.
The second cause is the deposit side. A USDC deposit that does not show up is usually an Arbitrum RPC delay, a bridge confirmation still pending, or an amount under the 5 USDC minimum, and the docs have a troubleshooting page for each. A deposit sent on the wrong network is not an outage and is not recoverable. If you are in the United States and the site simply refuses to load or connect, that is the geoblock working as intended, not downtime.
If the front end is up and your problem is that a balance or wallet has been flagged, that is a compliance event, not an outage, and there is no status page that will resolve it. Hyperliquid posts incident updates on X and in its Discord, which is where to look before assuming the worst.
- Status page and social channels: posted incidents
- Web version directly: rules out an app or wallet integration problem
- Payment fails but site works: processor or issuer, not an outage
- Order or withdrawal shows pending: review, not downtime; open a ticket
What to do if your Hyperliquid order is stuck
Do not resubmit the same payment, which can create duplicate holds. Take a screenshot of the order and its status, check your email for a document request, and open a support ticket with the order ID. Pending orders almost always resolve into either a completed purchase or a refund; they rarely disappear. If you needed the crypto for something time-sensitive, place the order somewhere that can confirm it today while the ticket works itself out. You can always send the second batch to the same wallet address.

Where it serves
- Hyperliquid
- The app.hyperliquid.xyz front end blocks U.S. IP addresses and the terms of use bar U.S. persons and forbid VPNs; in August 2026 President Trump said the CFTC was working on a path to bring Hyperliquid onshore, but no U.S. entity, KYC design or approval has been announced.
