Legitimate ways people get BTC without buying it

Getting paid in it. Freelancers, remote workers and merchants increasingly invoice in crypto. Your Bitcoin wallet address is what you give a client or customer to receive BTC.
Airdrops from projects you already use. Protocols occasionally distribute tokens to existing users. Real airdrops never ask you to send funds first or to enter a seed phrase.
