Fees
Exodus fees, explained line by line
Every platform quotes one number and charges several. Here is what Exodus actually takes on a purchase, what it leaves out of the headline, and what the same order costs at Anytime Capital.
- Exodus: no card rail of its own; a card or Apple Pay purchase in Exodus is a MoonPay, Ramp or XO Ramp order, and Exodus's knowledge base describes a MoonPay purchase as carrying three charges, a MoonPay fee, an Exodus ecosystem fee and the network fee, with MoonPay's published card rate at 4.5% before the ecosystem fee
- Trading: in-app swaps through XO Swap are quoted with a spread that Exodus says starts around 0.5% on liquid pairs, and independent tests put the typical all-in cost closer to 2% and higher on small trades
- Anytime Capital cards from 4%, shown in full before you pay

Quick answer
How much does Exodus charge?
Exodus charges no card rail of its own; a card or Apple Pay purchase in Exodus is a MoonPay, Ramp or XO Ramp order, and Exodus's knowledge base describes a MoonPay purchase as carrying three charges, a MoonPay fee, an Exodus ecosystem fee and the network fee, with MoonPay's published card rate at 4.5% before the ecosystem fee. Trading fees are in-app swaps through XO Swap are quoted with a spread that Exodus says starts around 0.5% on liquid pairs, and independent tests put the typical all-in cost closer to 2% and higher on small trades. Bank transfers: ACH or bank transfer through MoonPay or Ramp where available, at the partner's rate. Withdrawals: none from Exodus; sending coins out of the wallet costs only the network fee, which Exodus lets you set. Blockchain network fees are added on top. Anytime Capital card, Apple Pay and Google Pay orders start from 4% with the full price on screen before you confirm.

Published fee percentages on a debit or credit card order
Exodus does not sell crypto for a card payment directly: no card rail of its own; a card or Apple Pay purchase in Exodus is a MoonPay, Ramp or XO Ramp order, and Exodus's knowledge base describes a MoonPay purchase as carrying three charges, a MoonPay fee, an Exodus ecosystem fee and the network fee, with MoonPay's published card rate at 4.5% before the ecosystem fee. Anytime Capital card pricing starts from 4% and is shown in full before you confirm, excluding network fees. As of September 2026.
What Exodus charges, in order
Exodus is free to download, free to hold coins in, and sending them out costs the network fee, which the app lets you set. Every other cost lives behind a button. Buying with a card through MoonPay inside Exodus means MoonPay's published rate, 4.5% on cards with a minimum of about $3.99 and about 1% on ACH where offered, plus what Exodus's knowledge base calls an ecosystem fee, plus the network fee. Exodus does not publish the ecosystem fee as a fixed percentage; it appears in the quote. Ramp and XO Ramp purchases show their own fees before you confirm.
Swaps are the fee most reviewers write about. Exodus says XO Swap spreads start around 0.5% on large, liquid pairs, and independent tests have measured the typical all-in cost closer to 2%, rising toward 5% on very small trades once the spread is counted. Selling through MoonPay inside the wallet carries MoonPay's sell rate and pays out to a card or bank. None of this is hidden, but none of it is on one page either, and the total of a card purchase inside Exodus is always more than MoonPay's 4.5%.
Anytime Capital's card pricing starts from 4% with the spread included, no partner layer and no ecosystem fee, and the quote shows the amount you pay and the crypto you receive before you confirm. On a $1,000 card order that is from $40 here against $45 plus Exodus's fee inside the wallet. The coins can be delivered to an Exodus address if that is where you keep them, so the wallet you like and the price you want are not in conflict.
Network fees, spread, and the number that matters
Both platforms add the blockchain network fee to send your coins. What differs is how the price is presented. Exodus's schedule is spread across trading, deposit and withdrawal lines. Anytime Capital shows one number for what you pay and one for what you receive. The second number is the only one worth comparing: screenshot both checkouts on the same $1,000 order and look at how much crypto lands.

The rails where the fee question barely applies
Exodus has no cash rail at any price and no domestic wire desk. At Anytime Capital, cash in the Atlanta branch and cash by mail are priced like any other order, and wires for larger amounts are handled by the OTC desk with a locked quote. For a customer moving real size, a wire costs a fraction of any card rail, at Exodus or anywhere else.

Verify once with your ID and a selfie, pick a coin, choose any of nine ways to pay, and paste any wallet address you control. Card and Apple Pay orders confirm in minutes; wires settle the same business day.
